Mr. Nguyen Huu Lau (residing in My Tho City, Tien Giang Province) said that since around April 2024, he has been preparing seeds for planting. Depending on the growth period of each type of flower, they are planted at different times.
“To prepare for a brilliant Tet flower season, the flowers must bloom in time for the Lunar New Year 2025, technical factors are very important. Hopefully there will be a bumper crop in the upcoming Tet flower season” - Mr. Lau shared.

Similarly, Ms. Vo Thi Gam (living in Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province) shared that every year, her family will plant different types of flowers such as cockscomb, yellow locust, Dutch chrysanthemum, cat's claw, gerbera... to take care of, waiting for the right harvest day during the Lunar New Year.
“Although growing Tet flowers is hard work, this job brings in a good income, because it not only creates an economic source but also brings spring colors to your home. Hopefully this year Tet flowers will have a good harvest and high profits,” Ms. Gam hopes.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Thanh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My Tho City (Tien Giang Province) said that for the 2025 Tet flower crop, people are expected to plant about 1 million flower baskets of various types. Up to now, people in the city have planted about 601,000 baskets, including raspberry chrysanthemums, Dutch chrysanthemums, yellow chrysanthemums, gerbera daisies, cockscombs, etc.
Currently, the city's functional departments regularly coordinate with farmers to monitor the developments of disease, drought and salinity and prices. Timely take measures to deal with drought and salinity and pests. Daily, notify localities about the salinity developments on the Tien River in the My Tho city area to promptly notify agricultural production households to proactively respond.
