PepsiCo Foods launches Green University project

On November 22, the "Green University" project was launched at Van Lang University, co-organized by PepsiCo Foods Vietnam, GRAC and Van Lang University. Focusing on technology, the project emphasizes PepsiCo's pioneering role in protecting the environment, promoting the circular economy model, and marking the cooperation between the parties, aiming to raise students' awareness of the impact of plastic waste, encouraging practical actions to protect the environment.

Currently, Vietnam has about 2.62 million tons of plastic waste discharged into the environment per year.

The "Green University" project aims to implement synchronous solutions such as raising awareness, improving collection infrastructure, promoting waste classification at source through the application of technology platforms and applying circular economic models, to solve the waste problem.

PepsiCo Positive puts sustainability at the heart of the business, driving growth and creating value by operating within planetary boundaries and inspiring positive change.

PepsiCo Foods Vietnam also actively cooperates with members of the Packaging Recycling Alliance Vietnam (ProVN) to promote sustainable solutions for waste management. ProVN commits to collecting and recycling about 64,000 tons of packaging in Vietnam in 2024, while piloting the development of circular models suitable to market conditions and consumption habits in Vietnam.

Ngày 3.8, Công ty TNHH Thực phẩm PepsiCo Việt Nam (PepsiCo Foods Việt Nam) khởi công xây dựng nhà máy sản xuất thực phẩm hiện đại tại tỉnh Hà Nam. Với tổng vốn đầu tư cho nhà máy lên đến 90 triệu Đô la Mỹ, PepsiCo Foods không chỉ ghi dấu cột mốc 30 năm có mặt tại Việt Nam, mà còn thể hiện cam kết đầu tư lâu dài, phát triển bền vững tại thị trường này. Nhà máy mới dự kiến trở thành trung tâm sản xuất trọng yếu của PepsiCo Foods tại Việt Nam, công suất hàng năm hơn 20.000 tấn snack.
