Breaking up a motorbike theft ring of teenagers in Hue

HUE - Phu Xuan District Police (Hue City) have arrested a group of teenagers who specialize in stealing motorbikes.

On January 15, Phu Xuan District Police (Hue City) announced that they had just broken up a group of teenagers who had dropped out of school and stolen dozens of Honda Wave motorbikes in Hue City.

Through investigation, the police discovered that this group specializes in taking advantage of nighttime hours and people's carelessness to steal motorbikes. The subjects often target unlocked motorbikes, left on the sidewalk without anyone watching, then break the lock, connect the wires to start the engine and take the motorbike for use.

On the afternoon of January 13, the working group discovered the subjects gathering at a motel in Phu My commune, Phu Vang district. The subjects arrested include: Chau Hoai Th. (born 2011), Tran Dai V. (born 2010), Huynh Van Kh. (born 2010), Huynh Van D. (born 2009), Nguyen Ba Quang D. (born 2009), Le Dai Ng. (born 2009), Le Quang H. (born 2008), Le Duc Th. (born 2011), all of whom have permanent residence in Hue City.

In their initial confession, the group admitted to having committed 10 motorbike thefts from December 29, 2024 until their arrest. Through rapid testing, some subjects were determined to be positive for drugs.

Currently, the Phu Xuan District Police Investigation Agency is consolidating the case file to handle the subjects according to the law.
