On July 30, the Department of Transport of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province approved the plan to use several roads in Vung Tau City to organize the 25th traditional Vietnamese Cross-Country Race, which will take place on August 3.
According to the approved plan, Quang Trung Street (from No. 1 Ba Cu to Le Loi) will be completely closed to traffic. Vehicles will be redirected to surrounding side streets to avoid the restricted area.
Other streets such as Tran Phu (up to No. 258 Tran Phu Street, Ward 5), Ha Long, and Thuy Van (up to the intersection with Hoang Hoa Tham) will have half of the road adjacent to the sea closed, with two-way traffic on the remaining half.
The road closure for the cross-country race will be in effect from 4 AM to 10 AM on August 3. During this time, the race organizers will deploy personnel to coordinate with local units to manage traffic flow, place warning signs, and station traffic controllers at intersections and junctions near the road closure points to prevent vehicles from having to turn around.

It is known that the traditional Vietnamese Cross-Country Race organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper is held annually to promote physical exercise and sports, enhancing health. The event also serves as an opportunity to introduce the tourism potential, investment environment, and the green - clean - beautiful image of Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
According to the plan, the race will officially start on August 3 with the participation of more than 3,000 athletes competing in four distances: 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km.
