At noon on September 30, people discovered a newborn baby in a plastic bag abandoned in the bushes in Ham Thang commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan.
The newborn was taken to Ham Thang commune health station for examination and health care by doctors and nurses. The newborn abandoned in the bushes had some thorn scratches on his body. The baby was a boy and the umbilical cord had not been cut yet, so the doctors proceeded to cut the umbilical cord.
Local leaders were present at the medical station to coordinate procedures according to regulations.
It is known that earlier on the evening of September 20, also in Ham Thang commune, a baby girl was abandoned in front of a resident's house and was discovered and taken to the medical station.
