On December 9, at Phu Quoc City Police, Kien Giang Provincial Police held a conference to review the implementation of Plan No. 261 dated December 4, 2023 on strengthening all aspects of administrative management of social order in November 2024 and preparing to carry out the peak of attacking and suppressing crimes to ensure security and order for the Lunar New Year 2025.
In November 2024, Kien Giang Provincial Police resolutely implemented solutions in Plan No. 261, proactively deploying measures to strengthen residence management, issue citizen identification cards, control security and order, and handle crimes. Police forces have increased inspection and supervision of key areas and densely populated areas.
The work of issuing chip-embedded citizen identification cards to people has also achieved positive results, contributing to improving population management. Campaigns to inspect and handle violations of traffic safety and order, criminal offenses and social evils have also been highly effective, reducing violations and traffic accidents.
The professional departments and Phu Quoc City Police have coordinated to deploy many plans and working measures, ensuring security and order in the area, especially ensuring security and order for major events. Investigation and detection of crimes related to social order reached a high rate (over 81%); crimes and violations of the law on economic management order, corruption, drugs, and safety of forced land acquisition. Thereby contributing to crime prevention, comprehensive implementation of indicators of cleaning population data, issuing ID cards, and implementing Project 06 with many outstanding points.
Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Han - Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police - acknowledged the achieved results of the Phu Quoc City Police in the past month. At the same time, directing the forces to continue promoting the sense of responsibility, coordinating with the provincial Police Departments and Departments in ensuring security and order in the area.
Colonel Nguyen Van Han also directed the professional units of Kien Giang Provincial Police to closely coordinate with Phu Quoc City Police to strengthen patrols and control, deploy professional measures to detect, prevent and promptly handle violations of the law, especially crimes related to drugs, robbery, theft and activities that disturb public order.
