On the afternoon of August 20, in Hai Duong ward (Hai Phong city), the government and functional forces simultaneously implemented two important programs: launching a peak campaign to build a drug-free ward in 2025 and restoring urban order, ensuring traffic safety and environmental sanitation.
Speaking at the launching ceremony for drug prevention and control, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee emphasized that in recent years, drug crimes and evils still have many potential risks, affecting security, order and people's lives. This peak period demonstrates the political determination of the entire system, aiming to gradually reduce and towards eliminating drug abuse.
Immediately after the order of Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Thao - Head of the Ward Police Department, the forces organized a parade on the streets, propagating drug prevention and control with the motto: "Active prevention - Actively detecting - Resolutely fighting - Resolutely handling", determined to build Hai Duong ward into a drug-free area in 2025.
On the same day, the People's Committee of Hai Duong Ward also implemented a plan to restore urban order, ensure traffic safety and environmental sanitation. The plan focuses on handling the situation of encroachment on sidewalks and roads, removing advertising signs for violations.
At the same time, promote propaganda and mobilize households to sign a commitment to comply with regulations and build a civilized street. The People's Committee of the ward and 37 residential groups have signed a commitment to maintain urban order, environmental sanitation, and strive to create a bright, "green, clean," beautiful appearance for the locality.
The two activities above aim to raise public awareness, promote the role of the government and people in building a safe, civilized and modern Hai Duong ward.
