On February 26, Thanh Liet ward organized a program to meet young people preparing to enlist, perform military service, People's Police service and meet soldiers who have completed their service and returned to their localities in 2026.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Thanh Liet Ward People's Committee Bui Huy Hoang emphasized the patriotic tradition and indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese nation in the cause of building and defending the country. According to the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, performing military service is not only a responsibility but also an honor and pride of each young person towards the Fatherland.
In recent years, Thanh Liet ward has always well completed the target of selecting and calling citizens to enlist. Many young people after training in the military environment have grown up, promoted the qualities of soldiers, and become the pride of their families and localities.
Ward leaders hope that soldiers after completing their service and returning to their localities will continue to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", set an example in emulation movements, actively work and study, contributing to building an increasingly developed homeland; and be ready to participate in reserve forces when the Fatherland needs them.
For young people preparing to enlist in 2026, the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee requested each comrade to clearly identify their motives, ideals, and responsibilities; strictly comply with military discipline, actively study, train political bravery, improve professional qualifications, build solidarity, and strive to successfully complete all assigned tasks. At the same time, proactively equip themselves with necessary knowledge and skills so that after completing their duties, they can continue to study, work, and contribute to the development of the locality.
Representing soldiers who have completed their military service and returned to their localities in 2026, Mr. Doan Thanh Son (residency group No. 2, Thanh Liet ward) said that nearly two years of training in the military environment was a meaningful time, helping him to mature more in terms of political bravery, organizational discipline and sense of responsibility.
On this occasion, ward leaders and socio-political organizations presented 39 gifts to encourage young people preparing to enlist and 26 gifts to soldiers who have completed their military service.
In the 2026 military recruitment phase, Thanh Liet ward has 39 young people enlisting, including 33 young people serving in military service and 6 young people serving in the People's Police force. The activity shows the concern of the Party committees, authorities and local people, contributing to encouraging young people to feel secure and confidently enlist to perform the task of protecting the Fatherland.
