Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Khanh - Representative of the wildlife Conservation Center in Vietnam - informed that according to statistics from wildlife protection agencies, every year, thousands of animals are slaughtered for domestic consumption and export to the world. The main species of game hunt are elephants, tigers, bears, pangolins and many other rare wildlife species.
The main reason for this situation is the need to consume agricultural products such as elephant owls, coral horns in traditional medicine, jewelry, or even agricultural meat that is said to have special nutritional value.
Currently, we are witnessing the 6th extinction of the planet, the main cause of which is the impact of humans on the natural environment, including illegal hunting and trading of wildlife, said Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Khanh.


In recent times, in Kien Giang, the management of HDTV has always been of great interest and direction to all levels and sectors. The authorities have regularly coordinated patrolling and searching to promptly detect, prevent and handle violations in the work of protecting HDTV; the propaganda work has gradually changed the awareness of a part of the people.
