Quang Tri discovers 2 cases of illegal gambling during the week

Quang Tri - Bac Gianh Police discovered 2 gambling cases, handled 8 subjects, seized evidence of more than 4 million VND and many related tools.

On July 14, the Bac Gianh Ward Police, Quang Tri Province, said that in the process of implementing professional measures to maintain security and order, the unit has continuously discovered and handled 2 cases of illegal gambling with a total of 8 participants.

At about 9:45 p.m. on July 12, the Ward Police working group inspected the house of N.S (born in 1982, residing in Don Sa Residential Group, Bac Gianh Ward) and discovered 4 subjects gambling in the form of "gambling". The subjects include N.S, N.V.K (born in 1976), N.V.D (born in 1983) and N.V.D (born in 1994), all residing in Bac Gianh ward. The authorities seized more than 2.4 million VND at the scene along with many cards and tools related to gambling.

Previously, at around 2:30 p.m. on July 10, at the house of N.V.T (born in 1973, residing in Minh Loi Residential Group, Bac Gianh Ward), the Ward Police discovered 4 other subjects gambling in similar forms. The subjects caught red-handed include N.V.T, N.H.N (born in 1976), N.P.T (born in 1971) and N.V.Q (born in 1983). The temporarily seized evidence included more than 1.7 million VND and related evidence.

A representative of Bac Gianh Ward Police said that fighting against gambling evils is an important task in the peak period of maintaining security and order in the area right from the first days of implementing the 2-level government model.

The ward police will continue to increase patrols and controls, strictly handle violations of the law to deter, prevent crimes, and ensure peace for the people.
