On March 18, information from Nghe An Department of Health said that it had just issued an official dispatch on "Strengthening the rectification of advertising activities for medical examination and treatment services" in the area.
Recently, Nghe An Department of Health has issued many documents directing and guiding the confirmation of advertising for medical examination and treatment services. However, through inspection and supervision, there are still cases where medical facilities carry out advertisements without the content being confirmed by competent authorities. Some advertisements lack content, are not in line with the scope of professional activities, cause misunderstanding and affect the rights of the people.
Faced with this situation, Nghe An Department of Health requires medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to strictly implement the confirmation of advertising content according to the provisions of Circular No. 09/2015/TT-BYT and instructions on procedures for granting certificates of advertising content for medical examination and treatment services under the authority of the Department of Health. At the same time, medical facilities must urgently review the medical examination and treatment services being advertised, complete the procedures for granting certificates of advertising content in accordance with regulations.
Nghe An Department of Health also assigned specialized departments such as the Department Inspectorate and the Department of Medical Affairs to deploy the work of reviewing and advising on the establishment of inspection and examination teams to supervise compliance with regulations on advertising medical examination and treatment services of medical facilities in the area.
During the inspection and examination process, if a medical examination and treatment facility is found to not comply with current regulations, the Department of Health will request a record and handle the violation according to the provisions of Decree 38/2021/ND-CP dated March 29, 2021 on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of culture and advertising.
