On October 28, information from the People's Committee of Di Linh district (Lam Dong province) said that on October 27 and 28, the Central Inter-sectoral Working Group chaired by the Ministry of Construction conducted a survey and evaluated the results of the current urban development status in Di Linh town (Di Linh district).
From there, proceed to assess and recognize Di Linh town as meeting type IV urban standards as early as December 2024.
After the survey, the Central Interdisciplinary Working Group had a working session with the leaders of Di Linh district to evaluate and give comments on the results achieved in the implementation of the Project "Urban Development of Di Linh Town".
The relevant parties pointed out the shortcomings and limitations so that the locality can continue to adjust and overcome them to ensure the best conditions for the assessment and recognition of Di Linh town as meeting the standards of a type IV urban area.
Some ancient urban-scale works on the Di Linh plateau have been restored and effectively exploited but have not been included in the Project.
Although water supply and drainage works, wastewater and urban waste treatment have received investment attention, they are not commensurate...

Mr. Tran Quoc Thai - Director of the Urban Management Department of the Ministry of Construction requested that the locality needs to research and adjust the project to highlight the highlights of an urban area with the typical appearance and stature of the Central Highlands.
For standards and criteria at the asymptotic level, it is necessary to highlight historical values associated with the process of local construction and development.
Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Di Linh district, said: "The locality will focus on allocating resources and implementing measures to quickly complete unmet criteria and standards.
Along with that, the district is also calling for investment in many projects of domestic solid waste treatment plants, cemeteries, commercial and service areas...".
"Thereby, contributing to the development of the local socio-economy to become increasingly prosperous, civilized and reaching the standards of a type III urban area by 2045" - Secretary of Di Linh District Party Committee Dinh Van Tuan added.
Previously, in September 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai had just signed a document to send to the Ministry of Construction requesting appraisal and recognition of Di Linh town as a type IV urban area.
