On the evening of March 28, Da Nang City opened the Flower Car and Flower Boat parade Contest to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day. In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized the significance of the event in honoring historical traditions and reflecting the city's development.
"The contest - Flower cars and flower boats parade today is not only a special cultural activity but also has a profound meaning in honoring historical traditions, reflecting the development process of the city. At the same time, it will introduce to domestic and international friends a dynamic, integrated Da Nang while still preserving traditional cultural identity," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
The contest has the participation of 11 flower cars representing Departments, branches, sectors, the Front and socio-political organizations, Enterprises, 8 districts and 20 flower boats of tourism enterprises on the Han River. The flower cars and flower boats are elaborately decorated, expressing the cultural, historical and innovative beauty of the city.
