Technology motorbike taxi driver dies after collision with tanker truck

HCMC - A collision between a motorbike taxi driver and a tanker truck on Huynh Tan Phat Street (District 7) left one person dead on the spot.

According to the reporter, the accident between a motorbike taxi driver and a tanker truck occurred at around 4:25 p.m. on January 6 on Huynh Tan Phat Street, District 7.

Mr. Nguyen Hung (living in District 7) - a witness at the scene - said that the tanker truck was moving on Huynh Tan Phat Street (District 7), passing Phu My Bridge towards District 4, when it collided with a motorbike driven by a male driver.

“I was passing by and heard a loud noise. I turned around and saw the accident. The motorcyclist died on the spot,” said Mr. Hung.

Upon receiving the news, Tan Phu Ward Police (District 7) coordinated with the Traffic Police force to arrive at the scene to resolve the incident.

The impact of the accident caused traffic congestion on Huynh Tan Phat Street (District 7), vehicles moving slowly. Traffic police had to regulate and divert traffic.

At the scene, the male driver who died in the accident was named H.V.K (from Vinh Long province). The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by District 7 authorities.
