This is a meaningful activity in a series of activities to present national flags to fishermen going offshore and sticking to the sea and to propagate against illegal IUU fishing, which is being coordinated by Nghe An Police in coastal localities.

In recent years, with the goal of building Nghe An's sea and coastal areas into a dynamic economic development area, departments, branches, and Party committees and authorities at all levels have regularly paid attention to leading and directing the implementation of propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and international laws on seas and islands, in order to raise awareness among people, especially fishermen operating at sea. Thereby actively participating in protecting the sovereignty and security of the sea, protecting marine resources and the environment.

At the program, fishermen were informed and disseminated about legal regulations related to the sea and islands; and prevention of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Through the program, it contributes to raising fishermen's awareness of their responsibilities and roles in protecting national sea and island sovereignty, and their awareness of complying with legal regulations on fisheries exploitation.
