On October 8, the Indonesian Coast Guard ship KN. Pulau Dana - 323 and its crew of 54 sailors docked at PTSC port in Vung Tau city, paying a courtesy visit to Ba Ria - Vung Tau province from October 8 to October 11.
Attending the welcoming ceremony for the Indonesian Coast Guard ship were representatives of the Vietnam Coast Guard, Border Guard, Navy and some functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defence, representatives of the Indonesian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, departments, branches and sectors of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
According to the program, after docking at Vung Tau City, the ship's representative will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Head of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command. At the same time, they will organize exchanges with a number of units; organize joint search and rescue and fire prevention exercises with the Vietnam Coast Guard ship.
The visit is an activity to realize the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Coast Guards of the two countries signed in 2021. Thereby, the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Indonesian Coast Guard have the opportunity to exchange, learn, share and exchange experiences in law enforcement at sea; contributing to strengthening the relationship of friendship, cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the Coast Guards of the two countries.
