On the morning of July 20, Vietnam's pickleball "copper" - Quang Duong marked a new milestone in his career when he collaborated with Wika to launch his own collection, called "Wika xQuANG DUONG CORE-X Pro Series" - including pickleball shoes.
The new collection is inspired by Quang Duong's competition image, where he moves step by step, rotates people, and touches with enthusiasm. This is also Quang Duong's way of telling his story about his journey to adulthood, from a journey of persistent training to achievements to create a classy tennis player on the pickleball court.
Not only that, Quang Duong's journey is also a strong source of inspiration, increasingly spreading widely, helping the pickleball movement to develop more and more in Vietnam.
"Since returning to Vietnam, having been to many localities across the country, participating in many tournaments, I have witnessed the strong development of the pickleball movement.
The crowded stands of each tournament and stadium are always packed with people practicing and playing football. Pickleball players in Vietnam are very diverse in age, as long as they have a common interest in being able to carry a racket to the field.
That is also the reason why I decided to cooperate to bring quality products to pickleball players in Vietnam. From competition shoes, costumes and accessories such as backpacks to the field, all have the passion of me and the production unit", Quang Duong said.
Quang Duong's full name is Duong Thien Quang, born in California to a Vietnamese family. He was exposed to tennis and table tennis early before switching to pickleball in 2020.
Although he is still very young, he has made a name for himself in the international arena with his fiery playing style and impressive achievements, reaching the top 6 in the world at the age of 19. Therefore, fans nicknamed him the "copper god" of pickleball.
In addition to his international career, Quang Duong is also a familiar face in pickleball exchange activities in Vietnam, contributing to promoting the movement and connecting the domestic sports-loving community with the world.
