Awarding ceremony for reading culture ambassadors in Da Nang in 2024

On the evening of October 4, the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang chaired and coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the "Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador" Contest in 2024.

The contest aims to spread the passion for reading to students of all levels in the city, contributing to developing a reading culture in schools and the community.

This is a playground for primary, secondary and high school students across the city to find Reading Culture Ambassadors - a factor that promotes passion and spreads the love of books among the future generation of Da Nang youth.

The contest was launched in April 2024 and up to now, the organizing committee has received 45,162 entries.

40 candidates with the best quality entries were selected to attend the interview round at the Da Nang General Science Library and 28 most outstanding candidates were selected for the Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2024.

At the same time, the 6 best candidates were selected to submit their entries to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism competition.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi An - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports of Da Nang City said that Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador is an annual contest held since 2018 for students with the aim of finding outstanding faces, Ambassadors who will inspire and spread the passion for reading to students and people around them.

“Through 6 events, the enthusiastic participation of students in the city is considered a good sign for the city's reading culture movement as the passion for books is increasingly resonated and increased,” said Ms. An.
