On the evening of October 4, Dien Bien Department of Health organized the program "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" for more than 200 children from the Provincial General Social Protection Facility, SOS Children's Village Dien Bien Phu, and children of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers working at the Department of Health Office.


At the program, familiar folk games such as tug of war and blindfolding to catch goats stirred up the joyful atmosphere for the children. The stage of the festival night also became vibrant with performances by children.
One of the special highlights of the program is the recycled fashion show with the theme "Environmental protection - Creative recycling" performed by children.

A Pao growing child (14 years old, SOS Children's Village Dien Bien Phu) said: "Every year I look forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival. Today I am very happy to have played many games and had a Mid-Autumn Festival with you".

Speaking at the program, Mr. Vu A Bang - Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee sent a Mid-Autumn Festival greeting to the children.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is an opportunity for authorities at all levels, unions and the whole society to show their concern and responsibility in caring for, educating and protecting children, especially those in difficult and disadvantaged circumstances in the area.

At the program, leaders of Dien Bien province, along with leaders of departments, branches and sectors presented meaningful gifts to the Provincial Social Protection Facility and Dien Bien Phu Children's Village SOS Children's Village.
It is known that all funding for organizing the program comes from socialized sources, including sponsorship from organizations, businesses, and philanthropic individuals and voluntary contributions from cadres, civil servants, and public employees at the Department of Health.
At the Dien Bien Provincial Social Protection Facility and SOS Children's Village Dien Bien Phu, the children are mainly orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances with no place to return to in the province.
