Implementing the peak campaign to attack and suppress crimes to ensure security and order for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, Thai Tan Commune Police continuously investigated and discovered 2 property theft cases.
On November 17, Thai Tan Commune Police received a complaint from Mr. V. V.C (born in 1969, Uong Thuong village) about being embezzled of 9 million VND. Previously, at about 4 pm on November 11, a young man named Nghia came to Mr. V.V.C's photocopy shop to ask to transfer 300,000 VND to another account. During the operation, Nghia borrowed Mr. V. V.C's phone to record the money transfer content.
After completing the transaction, Nghia left. The next day, Mr. V.V.C discovered that the account had been deducted 9 million VND before the transaction transferred 300,000 VND for about 1 minute and the money was still transferred to the above account. Suspecting embezzlement, Mr. V.V.C reported to the police agency.
Through verification, the Commune Police identified the subject as Nguyen Minh Nghia (born in 2008, Uong Ha village). On December 25, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Phong City Police initiated a case and prosecuted defendant Nguyen Minh Nghia under Clause 1, Article 173 of the Penal Code.
Following that, on December 21, Thai Tan Commune Police received a denunciation from Mr. N.V.Q (born in 1989, Chu Dau village) about being robbed of motorbike 34B4-256.xx worth about 30 million VND on December 19.
Through investigation, on December 22, the commune police clarified that the thief was Nguyen Tien Luc (born in 1994, residing in Nam An Phu commune). Luc confessed that after stealing the motorbike, he brought it to Chu Thai Son's rented room (born in 1979) to sell to Tieu Van Tan (born in 1980) for 2.5 million VND, and then used illegal drugs with the subjects in Son's rented room.
Thai Tan Commune Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police to verify and clarify 2 cases of organizing the illegal use of drugs at Son's rented room on December 19 and 21.
Currently, the City Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted the case and prosecuted the defendants Luc, Son and Tan for investigation according to regulations.
