At the program, Thien Cam Border Guard Station, Squadron 102 coordinated with a number of agencies and units of Cam Xuyen district to propagate and disseminate to fishermen about illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities.
The organizing committee distributed 300 leaflets and legal notebooks, and wrote license plates for 50 fishing boats.
On this occasion, the units presented 90 gifts, 250 national flags, and some life jackets to the fishermen.
The propaganda session contributes to raising awareness and responsibility of fishermen in exploiting seafood in accordance with regulations, joining hands to preserve aquatic resources and develop sustainable fisheries.
