During the patrol, the Don Chau Commune Police discovered two suspicious signs, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection. At the time of the inspection, the police force caught Dao Dai Phat (16 years old, residing in Ben Tranh Hamlet, Dai An Commune, Vinh Long Province) red-handed for illegally storing drugs. At the scene, the police seized a pack of YETT cigarettes containing 6 YETT cigarettes and a plastic bag containing white crystals suspected to be drugs. Through investigation, Phat admitted to buying drugs for use.
Previously, on August 4, Vinh Kim Commune Police (Vinh Long Province) invited Thach Ngoc Chinh (34 years old), Thach Trung (25 years old), Thach Sam Nien (25 years old), Kien Phat (17 years old), all residing in Giua Hamlet (Vinh Kim Commune, Vinh Long Province) to the Vinh Kim Commune Police headquarters for a quick drug test.
Through a quick test, all 4 cases tested positive for drugs. At the police station, the subjects confessed that at around 5:30 p.m. on August 2, Trung invited Phat and Chinh to drink at Trung's house in Giua hamlet (Vinh Kim commune). Phat and Chinh bought more drugs to bring to Trung's house to use together. At around 6:30 p.m. the same day, Nien went to drink together, Phat continued to invite Chinh and Nien to Phat's house to use drugs.
By dawn on August 7, during an armed patrol to ensure security and order in the area, Tan Thuy Commune Police (Vinh Long Province) discovered 6 subjects positive for drugs. Of these, 3 subjects are under drug management of Bao Thanh Commune Police, so Tan Thuy Commune Police drew up a record and handed them over to Bao Thanh Commune Police for handling.
