On the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country and 70 years of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Navy, the 2nd Navy region has implemented many deep gratitude activities, showing the morality of drinking water to remember the source, commemorating the heroic martyrs and taking care of the policy beneficiaries in the area.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the working delegation led by Colonel Tran Manh Chien - Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Naval Region 2 - offered incense in memory at Ben Loc An, an important historical site that received weapons to support the Southern battlefield. The delegation donated 35 million VND from the Navy to restore and embellish the relic site.
Next, the delegation offered incense at the Memorial House and Monument of Hero Vo Thi Sau, visited and presented gifts to the family of Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Son - former Captain of Ship C41, Brigade 125, who contributed to creating legendary ships on the Ho Chi Minh Sea route.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Naval Region 2 held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs of the Unnumbered Ship sufferers, recalling the heroic tradition of Brigade 125.
At the same time, the working group of Naval Region 2 coordinated with local authorities to offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Ho Chi Minh Sea Route relic site of Ben Con Tau (Tra Vinh province) and Ben Thanh Phong (Ben Tre province).
At Con Tau Wharf, the delegation surveyed to plan the restoration of the Memorial House with a budget of 35 million VND from the Navy.

In the journey of gratitude, the Technical Assurance Center Region 2 visited, presented gifts and encouraged the mother of martyr Nguyen Thi Thoi in Dong Nai province, who was long-term cared for by the unit.
