On May 12, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Navy Region 5 Party Committee held a Conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Colonel Ngo Van Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Region attended and chaired the conference.
Over the past 10 years, the implementation of Directive No. 05 has always been of interest to the Party Committee of Naval Region 5, Party committees and commanders at all levels, leading, directing, implementing it closely and effectively, going into depth, spreading widely to agencies and units throughout the Region. Cadres and party members, especially presiding cadres at all levels, always clearly demonstrate their roles, responsibilities, and be exemplary in performing their tasks.
Officers and soldiers throughout the Region have strong political will, absolutely believe in the leadership of the Party, always uphold the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, actively strive, practice, study, work, be ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well.
From the movement of studying and following Uncle Ho, many typical, advanced and outstanding collectives and individuals have appeared, receiving many emulation titles at all levels; contributing to shining the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" in the new era.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Ngo Van Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Region commended and acknowledged the achievements of agencies and units in 10 years of implementing Directive No. 050.
Colonel Ngo Van Thanh noted: Party committees and commanders at all levels need to continue to pay attention to leading and directing units to do a good job of propaganda and education, raising awareness for soldiers about the position, significance, and great value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. During the implementation process, it is necessary to select key, practical contents to make learning and following Uncle Ho increasingly in-depth, practical and effective.
Units maintain strictly the formulation and implementation of commitments to strive, cultivate and train soldiers; Considering the results of the implementation of Directive No. 05 as an important criterion in the emulation, commendation and assessment of the quality of organizations and individuals every year.
