On October 27, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that Chau Hung Commune Police are coordinating to clarify a video related to a group of students fighting that was posted on social media.
Previously, the police discovered a clip about 22 seconds long recording a scene of a student beating a friend, surrounded by many students and teenagers gathering to cheer.
The video quickly went viral online, attracting many shares, causing public outrage.
Immediately after the discovery, the Commune Police Command directed the force to urgently verify. Initial results determined that the incident occurred in August 2025 in the Ong Bo culvert area, Hung Thanh hamlet, Chau Hung commune.
The cause was determined to stem from a conflict while livestreaming on social media between L.N.N.Y (born in 2011, residing in Hung Nhon hamlet, a student at a secondary school) and D.T.H.T (born in 2011, residing in Giong Ho hamlet, Chau Hung commune, who have dropped out of school).
Currently, Chau Hung Commune Police are continuing to work with relevant parties, coordinating with schools and families to take appropriate handling and education measures; at the same time, increasing propaganda, prevention, and not allowing similar acts to recur.
