The accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. on May 8 at the intersection of Ha Huy Tap Street and Nguyen Dinh Lien Street and Phan Dinh Giot Street in Cam Xuyen Town, Cam Xuyen District.
At that time, a tractor trailer with a license plate from Nghe An province traveling on Ha Huy Tap Street (old National Highway 1) in the North - South direction when reaching the intersection with Nguyen Dinh Lien Street and Phan Dinh Giot Street collided with a small truck with a Ha Tinh license plate traveling in the same direction turning onto Nguyen Dinh Lien Street.
