Handling 2 cases of using electric shock to illegally exploit aquatic products in Dak Lak

Dak Lak - An Hai Border Guard Station discovered 2 cases of illegal use of tools to exploit aquatic products, imposing a total administrative fine of 15 million VND.

On the afternoon of August 20, An Hai Border Guard Station (Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command) said that the unit had just discovered and handled 2 violations in fishing activities in the waters of Tuy An Dong commune.

Accordingly, at 7:00 p.m. on August 19, in the sea area of Phu Hoi village, the patrol team of An Hai Border Guard Station discovered Mr. D.Q.T.D (born in 2004, residing in Tuy An Dong commune) illegally using electric shock devices to exploit aquatic products.

The patrol team made a record and brought the exhibits and vehicles to Phu Hoi Border Control Station.

The unit completed the file and issued a decision to administratively fine Mr. D VND 7.5 million.

At the same time, the unit confiscated 20m of air wire, 20m of electric wire, 1 homemade electric shocker and 1 dynamo for power generation.

Then, at 8:00 p.m. on August 19, in the waters of Phu Hoi village, the patrol team inspected the fishing boat with registration number PY-30819TS, 55CV capacity, fishing with a net, owned by Mr. T.N.Q (born in 2006, residing in An Thanh village, Xuan Dai ward).

Through inspection, Mr. Q was found to have used a fishing boat from 6m to under 12m in length to exploit aquatic products in violation of the profession stated in the Fisheries Exploitation License.

The unit has issued a decision to administratively fine Mr. Q VND 7.5 million.
