On December 11, Duc Trong District Police summoned five teenagers aged 14-17 to clarify their actions of riding a motorbike with a wheelie, speeding, and reckless overtaking on National Highway 20 (through Lien Nghia town) and the inner city area of Lien Nghia.
Initial information shows that this group often gathers, carries three people, revs their engines, and endangers other road users.
Images of violations provided by local residents helped the Traffic Police Team coordinate with Lien Nghia Town Police to verify and summon the group of teenagers and their guardians to work.
The police agency has drawn up administrative fines for the following violations: Not wearing a helmet, driving a vehicle without a license plate, driving a vehicle on one wheel; and driving a vehicle with a cylinder capacity of over 50cc underage.
Duc Trong District Police are continuing to compile files on related cases, requiring commitments not to re-offend. The police also invited parents to sign a commitment not to give their children vehicles when they are underage. The investigation of the remaining suspects is also underway.
Authorities have confirmed that they will strictly handle groups of speeders causing disorder on Highway 20, in order to ensure traffic safety and legal discipline.
