An Giang - Working at the police headquarters, N.H.S admitted to fabricating the incident of a fire to tease the authorities.

On December 8, Nhon My Commune Police (An Giang) said that the unit had just filed a case of reporting fake news about fire and explosion, affecting the activities of local authorities.

Previously, the Commune Police received a report from N.H.S (also known as L.B, born in 2007, residing in Nhon An Hamlet) about a fire at a rice warehouse in Nhon An Hamlet, Nhon My Commune. This person described smoke, fire flare-ups and the risk of fire spreading, causing property damage if not handled promptly.

As soon as it was received, Nhon My Commune Police immediately went to the scene to inspect and at the same time notified the militia and self-management teams of the area to coordinate in grasping the situation and preparing fire fighting plans. However, no signs of fire or explosion were detected at the scene.

After verifying with surrounding residents, the results confirmed that there were no fires or explosions as reported in the report.

Working at the police headquarters, N.H.S admitted to having fabricated the incident to tease the authorities. Nhon My Commune Police have filed a case and administratively sanctioned N.H.S for the act of "Fake news, untrue news to competent authorities".
