On August 7, according to information from the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police, in the first 2 weeks of the campaign (from July 25 to August 5), the Waterway Police force arranged 74 patrols to control, inspected 490 vehicles, and recorded 119 cases of administrative violations.
Among the vehicles that were handled, there were 110 vehicles for freight transport and 9 vehicles for passenger transport.
Notably, the act of carrying over the safety mark accounts for the highest rate of violations, with 93 cases. This is one of the potential causes of unsafe waterway traffic, which needs to be strictly handled.
In parallel with the inspection work, the Waterway Police force also promoted propaganda on waterway traffic safety for ferry terminals and vehicles operating on the Dong Nai River; inspected rescue equipment, fire fighting systems and fire prevention and fighting systems on waterway vehicles operating on the route and area under their charge.
