On March 7, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued a plan to implement the Project "Communication to prevent and combat the harmful effects of alcohol by 2030".
The plan is issued to communicate on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer to raise awareness, orient behavior, and change people's harmful habits. Enhance and create transformation and responsibility of cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life in terms of awareness and compliance with the law on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer.
In the plan, the Provincial People's Committee sets a goal of having 95% of adults in the province informed about the harmful effects of alcohol and beer and measures to prevent and combat the harmful effects of alcohol and beer by 2030. 100% of drivers of vehicles in the province are informed and disseminated the provisions of the law on not drinking alcohol and beer while driving vehicles.
100% of educational institutions in the province have implemented communication on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer suitable for the age of students. 95% of alcohol and beer businesses and 90% of households and individuals producing handicrafts in the province are informed and guided by legal regulations on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer and other relevant legal regulations.
90% of print and electronic newspapers of departments, branches, sectors, Provincial Radio and Television stations, District Radio and Television stations and Commune Radio and Television stations post and broadcast news and articles on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer every month; 90% of reporters and participants in grassroots information activities are trained and provided with information on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer.
Enhancing the role and responsibility of leaders
To achieve the above goals, the People's Committee of Nghe An province requires improving the role and responsibility of leaders and strengthening the leadership and direction of Party committees and local authorities; proactively issuing plans, investing funds, mobilizing resources to organize the implementation of this plan.
Strengthen inter-sectoral coordination between agencies, unions, and organizations; promote the role of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations, socio-political organizations, and professions in participating in and supervising the implementation of communication work.
Regularly organize communication programs and campaigns in many forms (mobile propaganda teams, communication associated with competitions, activities, medical events, culture, sports and tourism...).
Focus on communication on mass media, social networks, the internet, mobile phones, online consultation. Incorporate communication content into the village wishes, conventions, cultural institutions of regions, areas, localities, residential areas, organize communication activities in educational institutions suitable for the age of students.
In addition, an interdisciplinary inspection team was established to inspect, supervise and evaluate communication activities to prevent and combat the harmful effects of alcohol and beer from the province to the grassroots.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned departments, branches, localities, to disseminate and propagate the prevention and control of the harmful effects of alcohol to everyone and every family; Require cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers to comply with the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of the harmful effects of alcohol and beer; Absolutely do not drive vehicles when consuming alcohol, beer or other stimulants that are prohibited by law according to the provisions of the Road Traffic Law.
