On April 15, the Command of Region 2 Navy said that at 20:00, on April 14, the DK1/14 rig located on Tu Chinh shoal successfully rescued fishermen in distress when exploiting seafood at sea.

Previously, at about 17:00 on the same day, the DK1/14 rig received emergency information signals from the fishing vessel number 96723TS, led by Mr. Ngo Bu (hometown in Hoai Hai, Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province) as the captain who was catching the DK1/14 rigs about 1.5 nautical miles.
Initial information, during the fishing process, a crew member on the ship 96723TS was Mr. Nguyen Van Vuong (born in 1982, hometown in Hoai Hai, Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province) unfortunately slipped and bumped head.
The incident occurred when the ship's lighting system had a problem, Mr. Vuong went to the frame to repair and broke the trunk across the lights, leading to falling, head into the train railing and falling into the water. The crew members on board quickly rescued and took Mr. Vuong to the DK1/14 rig to be rescued.
At the time of being put into the rig, Mr. Nguyen Van Vuong lost a lot of blood, had a deep tear wound at the back of the right head, about 8cm long, 0.5cm deep and the mouth of the wound was 0.5cm wide.
Immediately, the Military Medicine of the DK1/14 rig carried out emergency first aid measures to stop bleeding, disinfectant and stitching wounds for fishermen in distress with 9 stitches. Mr. Vuong was also given medicine and necessities such as sugar and milk to quickly recover.
Officers and soldiers of the rig recommend the captain to bring patients to the shore to continue checking and monitoring health at higher level medical facilities.
After being emergency and health stability, Mr. Nguyen Van Vuong was awake and left the rig back to a safe ship.
