According to the report of the City Traffic Safety Committee, in the first 3 months of 2025, there were 78 traffic accidents in the area, killing 48 people, injuring 44 people, reducing 113 cases, 21 deaths, and injuring 102 people compared to the same period in 2024.
Of the 78 traffic accidents, 26 were involving people from other provinces, killing 18 people and injuring 24 others. There were 16 traffic accidents involving school-age children, killing 8 people and injuring 8 others.
It is worth mentioning that there were 13 traffic accidents related to alcohol concentration, killing 10 people and injuring 7 people. 12 self-inflicted accidents left 10 people dead and 2 injured.
Previously, the Traffic Police Department increased patrols to control and handle violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents on road and railway routes such as: alcohol concentration, drugs; carrying overloaded goods; handling students who violate traffic laws... Thereby, contributing to controlling traffic accidents, reducing traffic accidents in all 3 criteria in the same period in 2024.
