The heir to Tam Duc is a rom-com (romance - love - society) drama, 38 episodes long, deeply exploiting traditional cultural values, family love and Vietnamese cuisine, especially the famous Quang noodles in the Central region.
The story revolves around Mr. Tam, a man over 70 years old, successful in the jewelry business but still carrying in his heart the constant dread of making Quang noodles - the family profession he once built with his late younger brother.
That marrow caused him to fall into a psychological crisis, his health declined day by day. To help him overcome the mental crisis and regain his ideal life, his niece Thao Nhi, a unique and strong female media director, came up with a bold plan: to hire Hoang Trung - an unemployed guy who had dreamed of becoming an actor, to play the role of a student to ask Mr. Tam to pass on the Quang noodles profession.
At first, everything was just a "play" full of dealings. But it was his sincerity, perseverance and passion arising during the vocational training process that made Hoang Trung change - not only touching Mr. Tam's heart but also making him mature, living with clear ideals and purposes.
The relationship between Trung and Thao Nhi also gradually developed from a hired owner to a true love. However, the truth gradually comes out, pushing all three into a spiral of misunderstanding, betrayal and forgiveness.
