The love and respect for Nom script has ignited the creative fire in the artist, urging him to constantly explore and honor the beauty of this cultural heritage.

On his creative journey, he always seeks new ways to combine painting and Nom script, to evoke the profound meanings and hidden beauty of ancient scripts. He wants Nom script to be closer to everyone, to become familiar and easy to perceive.

According to artist Doan Son: “Nom script is not something mysterious, vague, strange or old. We want it to be bright and fresh, it can be bright and fresh; we want it to be easy to understand, then it is very easy to understand. Nom script is profound, multi-layered, and multi-meaning, but it is not meant to be a puzzle. Beyond all interpretations of its own meaning, Nom script invites the search hidden behind the usual manifestation."

The Nom Painting Exhibition by artist Nguyen Doan Son is a meaningful cultural event, bringing interesting experiences about traditional art and culture. This is also an opportunity to look back, appreciate and preserve the precious cultural values of the nation.

The exhibition will be held at Van Art Gallery (No. 12 Yen Hoa, Yen Phu, Tay Ho, Hanoi) from January 8-15, 2025.
