Can Tho accelerates the integration of VNeID Electronic Health Book after being ranked 31/34 nationwide

Can Tho - The leaders of the City People's Committee directed to promote the integration of the VNeID Electronic Health Book, requiring cadres and civil servants to complete it before August 14, 2025.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has just signed and issued a document directing departments, branches and localities to urgently deploy solutions to improve the rate of integration of Electronic Health Books on the VNeID application.

Following the direction of the Working Group to implement Project 06 of the Government, in recent times, Can Tho City has implemented drastically and achieved many targets such as 3.35 million CCCD cards; 2.38 million VNeID level 2 accounts (reaching 71.7%); the rate of people with health insurance cards reached 71.14%. Thereby contributing to helping citizens carry out administrative procedures quickly, speeding up the digital transformation process in the locality.

However, according to statistics from the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order, Ministry of Public Security, as of July 16, 2025, Can Tho City has only integrated 761,857 Electronic Health Books on the VNeID application, reaching 18.63% of the total permanent population, ranking 31/34 provinces and cities nationwide.

In that situation, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested heads of departments, branches, sectors, Chairmen of Commune People's Committees, wards and socio-political organizations in the area to focus on disseminating and disseminating to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers about the utilities of the VNeID application, especially the integration of the Electronic Health Book on the VNeID application to help monitor and manage personal health information.

In particular, 100% of cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, association members, students and workers are required to be exemplary in implementing and mobilizing relatives to participate before August 14, 2025.

Agencies and units responsible for reviewing and making a list of individuals who have not installed the application or have not integrated the Electronic Health Book on VNeID (with specific reasons) shall submit a report to the City Police before August 18, 2025 for synthesis, guidance, and removal of difficulties.

Directors of departments, heads of agencies, departments, and branches of the city and Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible to the Chairman of the City People's Committee if cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers under their management do not take the lead in installing and using the VNeID application and integrating the Electronic Health Book on this application.

The Department of Health is assigned to continue implementing pilot plans to implement electronic health books and electronic medical records; direct medical facilities to promote the use of CCCD/VNeID in health insurance examination and treatment, arrange staff to support people to integrate cards and activate electronic health books right at the reception point.

The City Police are required to speed up the issuance of electronic identification accounts to 100% of eligible citizens, coordinate with relevant units to monitor, inspect, and periodically report the results to the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Along with that, the People's Committees of communes and wards have implemented a peak period of instructing people to integrate health insurance cards on the VNeID application, activating and using the Electronic Health Book with the motto "go to every alley, knock on every door, check every person". The implementation period is from now until the end of September 2025.
