On the evening of March 31, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh province coordinated with Dong Hoi Airport, VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company and related units to welcome and congratulate 38 passengers on the first international charter flight from Taipei (Taiwan, China) to Quang Binh.
According to Dong Hoi Airport, this is the first international charter flight deployed at this airport. Flight VJ7173 departs from Taipei (Taiwan, China) at 4:40 p.m. and lands in Dong Hoi at 7:40 p.m.
On the other afternoon, flight VJ7172 from Dong Hoi to Taipei (Taiwan, China) departed at 12:30 and arrived at 15:40 (local time). In the period from March 31 to October 13, 2025, the Dong Hoi - Taipei international route (Taiwan, China) will have a total of 26 flights (13 round trips).
On the same day, flight VJ7172, V human-TPE with 90 passengers took off from Dong Hoi airport at 12:30 to Taipei International Airport (Taiwan, China) at 15:40.
This is the second time Dong Hoi Airport has operated an international route. Previously, from 2017 to 2018, the airport welcomed flights from Chiang Mai (Thailand).
The opening of a new international route not only enhances aviation connectivity between Quang Binh and the East Asia region, but also contributes to promoting trade, promoting the image of tourism and creating conditions to attract international tourists to the locality.
