On the afternoon of May 3, according to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, it is estimated that there are about 240,000 visitors coming to visit and relax in Da Lat and other localities in the province during the holiday, an increase of 14.3% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, international visitors grew impressively with 14,000 (up 75%), domestic visitors reached 226,000 (up 11.9%), and the number of overnight visitors reached 160,000 (up 23%).
The special thing about this year's holiday is the clear contrast between April 30 and May 1. On the first day, Da Lat streets were airy, tourist attractions were deserted.
The reason is that many people have traveled to Ho Chi Minh City to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, watch parades, parade and enjoy fireworks.
However, from noon on May 1, Da Lat began to bustle. Vehicles from Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities were congested, making the streets crowded.
That same evening, tens of thousands of people flocked to Lam Vien Square to watch the final round of Dalat Best Dance crew 2025 - Hoa Sen Home International Cup (international tournament) and Lavender tourist area by Tuyen Lam Lake to participate in Noo's Chill Night - The Concert by singer Noo Phuoc Thinh.
During this holiday, most hotels and motels do not increase prices. room prices range from 250,000 - 350,000 VND/night for single rooms, and 450,000 - 700,000 VND/night for double rooms.
3- to 4-star standard hotels have only increased slightly by 10 - 20% compared to normal days, and food and beverage service prices have remained stable.
As of early 2025, Lam Dong province has 3,186 tourist accommodation establishments with a total of 40,749 rooms, including 451 1-5 star hotels with 13,426 rooms.
Mr. Le Anh Kiet, Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Da Lat city, said that preliminary statistics show that the number of domestic and international visitors booking rooms before the holiday season reached about 70%. This helps Da Lat proactively plan to welcome guests during this year's holiday.
