With less than a month left until the Mid-Autumn Festival, Tuyen Quang ward has become bustling. Giant, colorful lanterns parade the streets, attracting thousands of visitors.
Not just simply the familiar carp lanterns and star lanterns, Tuyen Quang people have transformed them into works of art. Each lantern is a story, a unique idea, expressing the unlimited creativity of the people.

Ms. Ho Thanh Huyen (Tuyen Quang) said that the giant lanterns have started parading on the street for nearly a month now. The bustling atmosphere, local people and tourists are very excited.
"This year there are many impressive lantern models. The Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere has come very close to the people of Tuyen Quang. This is not just a normal ceremony but also a cultural identity, the pride of the local people, said Ms. Huyen.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Anh (Minh Xuan ward, Tuyen Quang), giant lanterns are often designed by non-professional workers in residential groups.
Each lamp usually has a total cost of nearly 100 million VND, the body is about 70 million VND, the rest is the cost of renewing the models each year. Each lantern has its own symbol, elaborately designed with different sizes. Inspired and ideas from historical figures, border guards, stilt houses... All of which express the love for the homeland and country of the people of Tuyen Quang, said Mr. Anh.
According to the plan, the Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2025 will have its main activities taking place from October 3-5 (August 12 to 14 of the lunar calendar). Notably, the program opened on the evening of October 3 (August 12th of the lunar calendar) at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.

Throughout the festival, there are programs such as Trade - Tourism Fair; Exhibition, introduction of the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine and Beer Festival; sports competitions.
This is the 3rd year that Tuyen Quang has implemented the Project to innovate the organization of Thanh Tuyen Festival. The main goal is to build and develop the Festival into a national and international tourism product.

Tuyen Thanh Festival was first held in 2004. It was then upgraded to the provincial level in 2014 and has since become a special cultural event of Tuyen Quang province every Mid-Autumn Festival.
Currently, Tuyen Thanh Festival is considered the largest and most unique Mid-Autumn Festival in the country, with many records confirmed by the Vietnamese Guinness Book of Records such as the Festival with many unique and largest Mid-Autumn Festival models in Vietnam, "The Largest Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam", "The Largest pair of lanterns in Vietnam".
