    Yen Bai - After the storm and flood, in Van Yen district appeared a special river with stacked rocks creating a unique landscape.

    After the storm, the water level of the Ngoi Hut River through Van Yen district, Yen Bai province, dropped, revealing a unique scene like a "stone desert" in the heart of the Northwest mountains and forests.

    According to Lao Dong's record on November 24, at Ngoi Hut River, rocks and sandbanks are exposed, stretching along both banks. The undulating rocks, naturally stacked on top of each other, create an impressive natural picture.

    The Ngoi Hut River is a tributary of the Red River, with a length of about 65 km. The yellowish-gray color of the rocks blends with the green of the surrounding mountains and forests, creating an interesting contrast, making this place an ideal destination for those who love exploring and taking photos.

    The river originates from the confluence of many streams in Cao Pha commune, Mu Cang Chai district. Then, the water meanders through Phong Du Thuong and Phong Du Ha communes to Dong An commune of Van Yen district and flows into the Red River.
    According to data from Yen Bai Hydrometeorological Station, the end of the year is the dry season, the average rainfall is only 28.8mm/month, causing drought and water shortage.
