Hotel "uses" rooms on A80, guests are ready to go to the place waiting for someone to cancel

On the occasion of National Day 2.9, many hotels around Ba Dinh Square ran out of rooms on the days of the general parade, A80 parade and official holidays.

According to a survey by Lao Dong on August 29, many small and medium-sized accommodation establishments around Ba Dinh Square, even 7-8km from the center, have announced that they are out of rooms.

Currently, Pan Pacific Hanoi recorded room occupancy, reaching 100% on August 29 when many customers wanted to stay to watch the rehearsal on the morning of August 30. By September 1, the capacity continued to reach about 97%, mainly Vietnamese visitors, especially family groups.

A25 Hotel representative said that many accommodation facilities in the central area were full, especially on the routes to watch the A80 parade and parade. Some hotels in Hai Ba Trung ward - about 1-2km from the parade viewing location, are still empty at about 20% of the rooms.

"On the evening of August 29, we were 100% full. Currently, it is difficult for customers to book a room in Ba Dinh. Many guests accept to come to the hotel to wait for others to cancel their rooms," said a representative of a hotel chain with 40 locations across the city.

A representative of BridgeLakeside Hotel Hanoi said that all rooms were sold out half a month ago.

"Many groups of tourists from far away have called to book rooms very early to serve the need to watch the parade on September 2. Even if you can't get to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, you can still watch the parade in the high rooms of the hotel or walk to the Kim Ma - Lieu Giai intersection to watch it in person," said the hotel representative.

Customers who book a room close to the deadline will have to accept the price increase of about 20-30% compared to normal days. Some accommodation facilities revenue from the holiday.

Located nearly 8km from Ba Dinh Square, Hai Muoi Hotel & Apartment (Tran Quoc Vuong Street, Cau Giay District) has only 2-3 empty rooms on August 30 and 31. "Many groups of tourists from far away to Hanoi only rent rooms to pack clothes, while they line up early on the streets to watch the parade. Therefore, even though it is not located too close to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, the hotel is still fully booked," said the hotel representative.

With the number of tourists coming to Hanoi increasing on September 2, hotels, whether near or far from the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area, are in a state of "olds" rooms.

The main visitors are groups of friends and veterans from the Central and Southern regions. Many families in the Northern provinces also booked rooms to watch the September 2 parade and visit and have fun in Hanoi during the holiday.

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, accommodation establishments are required to improve facilities, calculate the maximum number of rooms to serve guests, do not increase prices, and have preferential policies. Preparing for the big event, Hanoi is fully qualified, ready to welcome guests, and develop a backup plan.

The ceremony, parade - parade of martyrs for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 will take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of Hanoi. On the same evening, fireworks were launched at 5 locations including Hoan Kiem Lake, Tay Lake, My Dinh Stadium, Van Quan Lake and Thong Nhat Park.

In addition, from now until September 2, many cultural and entertainment activities will also take place to celebrate the country's major events.
