Marking the 34th anniversary of his 34-day journey across Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Duy (Hanoi) had memorable memories when experiencing unique culture, enjoying beautiful scenery and specialties of many localities.
"This journey across Vietnam has been cherished for a long time, but because the nature of the work does not allow it, I have not been able to do it yet. At the end of 2024, a close half-joking half-real brother invited each other to go out. So we planned and prepared things for only 2 months, said the male backpacker.

Starting in Hanoi from January 31, Mr. Duy traveled 4,000km, traveling through 37/63 provinces and cities across Vietnam such as Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang... and ending in Ho Chi Minh City on March 5.
He enthusiastically visited many famous landmarks, conquered the two extreme points of the Fatherland, the far East, the far South and passed through the coastal roads and the most beautiful passes in Vietnam.
"Among the places I have passed through, Phu Quy is the place that left me with the most special impression. The people are friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, the food is delicious, cheap, and the natural landscape cannot be described because it is so beautiful, said Mr. Duy.

In addition, when passing through the Western provinces, the male tourist experienced many typical and interesting features such as sitting in a hammock cafe, going through a network of canals and admiring the ancient Khmer pagodas.
Regarding food, he especially likes Ninh Hoa grilled nem, followed by crab vermicelli in Nha Trang. He also suggested that tourists who have the opportunity to visit Dong Thap should definitely try lemon lotus tea.

"We had an accident when we lost our belongings while traveling from Dak Lak to Da Lat. I went back 50km to ask the people and passersby. However, it was late, and we were still 150km from Da Lat, so we decided to lose it and continue moving.
At night, without street lights, we had to run through many passes without a single person, so we were quite tired and hungry. Luckily, my companion and I still went to Da Lat safely, said Mr. Duy.
The two friends' trip across Vietnam was not smooth throughout the journey. The male tourist's motorbike broke down on the way from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh. They encountered cold rain, driving in fog when arriving in Mang Den and getting drunk on waves when taking a boat to Phu Quy Island... However, these are inevitable things when traveling, so they still feel happy.

Before starting the trip, the two tourists consulted the experiences of backpackers. In addition to personal belongings, he only brought a few thin clothes, mainly summer clothes. In particular, indispensable luggage includes spare chargers, raincoats, medicine, vehicle documents, etc. The schedule of destinations must also be discussed and carefully considered.
The total cost of the trip was about 22 million VND. Of which, the hotel rental fee is more than 10 million VND. The rest, the cost of food and tickets to tourist attractions is the most spending.

"If you plan to go on a long trip, you must first prepare mentally and financially. I always plan to spend about 500,000 VND/day, in addition to arising costs such as vehicle damage, traffic violations, entrance fees... In spirit, be happy, optimistic, and ready to handle all situations, said Mr. Duy.
The male backpacker said the family was quite worried, afraid that the trip would affect their child's work. However, he affirmed that he did not regret this cross-Vietnam experience, and had even gradually planned to conquer the Northeastern and extremewestern provinces of the Fatherland.
