Located in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province, Khai Doan pagoda is one of the last pagodas in Vietnam to be declared "The Four Colors". This is a noble title that the monks of the feudal era issued to the pagodas, demonstrating the recognition of their scale, architectural value and cultural and religious importance.

The pagoda was built in 1951, built by Doan Huy Hoang, Queen Hoang Thi Cuc (reign of King Khai Dinh) and a number of Buddhists, who volunteered to build and worship the Trung Viet Ao Dai Church. In 12, the main hall was completed, and King Bao Dai issued the decree "CCU TAT" - this is the lastCCU title awarded by the Vietnamese feudal system. The name Khai Doan is a combination of the two words Khai Dinh - Doan Huy.

Knowing the four-story Khai Doan Pagoda during one work, Mr. Dang Thanh Nam (29 years old, photographer in Ho Chi Minh City) visited the pagoda twice because he was so impressed with the architecture, landscape and meaning of the pagoda.
“Minh den chua hai lan vao dip thang 8, thang 9. "I went to the pagoda twice in August and September. I was quite impressed to know that the pagoda was built by Queen Doan Huy Hoang and that Queen Nam Phuong was directly responsible for managing the construction. The pagoda has a very unique architectural feel of the Hue royal palace, exuding majesty, honor and luxury, Mr. Nam shared.

The architecture of the pagoda is an intersection between the Hue monk's house and the Ede long house, combined with the Tay Nguyen stilt house features. Each wooden column, curved tiled roof, and sophisticated carved details exude a majestic yet familiar look. The pagoda faces southwest, in front is Doc Hoc stream, behind is the neighborhood, in harmony with the feng shui "before the water, after the painting".

Entering the three-door gate, visitors can easily feel the peace with the green path, with both sides being covered with brilliant seasonal flowers, creating a refreshing feeling in the Central Highlands sunshine. On June 29, 5, 5, Mr. Narada Thera (Tich Lan) presented the Rosary to benefit from the Buddha's offering of the grace of Tu Cung at Buon Ma Thuot. Since then, Khai Doan Tu has become the first Buddhist center of the Vietnam Buddhist Enthusiasm Movement in the Central Highlands.

The large, airy yard is a place where Buddhists and tourists often stop to worship. Around the pagoda, there are many ancient trees spreading out the spark, bringing a feeling of closeness to nature.
Theo anh Nam, dieu khien anh an tuong nhat la nhung tuong Phat duoc dieu khac mot cach ti mi, chung to tay nghe rat cao cua cac nghe nhan thu cong.
According to Mr. Nam, what impressed him most was the meticulously carved Buddha statues, proving the high craftsmanship of the artisans.

The pagoda also worships the statue of Bo Tam Quan The Am and a number of other statues, all of which are elaborately made, with soft lines and gentle faces. The statues are painted with gilded lacquer, combined with natural light from wooden doors, the space in the pagoda is even more ancient and sacred - the male photographer commented.
Nam du khach khang dinh day la dia diem khong the bo qua khi den Dak Lak: “Day la dia diem khong the bo qua doi voi nguoi yeu thien nhien, Phat phap noi chung hay nhung nhiep anh gia noi rieng. Mr. Thanh Nam believes that this is a place not to be missed for those who love nature, Buddhism in general or photographers in particular. "Entering the pagoda, I feel both secure and inspired by endless inspiration because any corner can be a masterpiece when taking photos," he said.

In addition to Khai Doan Pagoda in Buon Ma Thuot, Mr. Nam suggested that visitors can refer to Buu Thang II Pagoda. This has been a shelter for orphans for more than 20 years.
