Wette cake is one of the attractive dishes of Hue cuisine. The wet cake can be eaten with pork rolls or pickled shrimp rolls. This is a simple dish that is easy to find in the ancient capital.
During a trip to Hue in early June, Ms. Nhat Mai (25 years old, Hanoi) was impressed by a restaurant called O Lan wet cake on the extended Hoang Quoc Viet street (An Cuu ward).

"O Lan spoke gently and hospitality. I heard that he has been selling for more than 30 years. Every day, I work hard to make cakes and sell cakes from early morning to late afternoon, Ms. Nhat Mai shared.
To make a delicious, sticky, and thin plate of rice paper without breaking, the maker has to go through many elaborate stages. The stages from pouring the cake to making the filling, O Lan are all done by hand, cooked with wood, and wrapped in banana leaves, so they retain a simple flavor and are easy to eat.

In addition to wet cakes, o Lan's restaurant also sells few Ram cakes and banh xeo. The price of mixed-use plates is 15,000 VND/plate, with cakes, sausages, and crispy portions. top with a layer of ground shrimp, fried onions, served with sweet fish sauce.
"I accidentally saw this wet cake shop on social media. When I arrived, I saw the cake shop as beautiful as Hue, said Ms. Mai.

According to Ms. Nhat Mai, the wet cake shop is located on a peaceful village road. The space of the restaurant is a rustic old house, covered with red tiles and green jackfruit in front of the door. The restaurant is small, has few tables, and is most crowded in the late afternoon, mainly with people around that area coming to eat.

The wet cake shop sells from around 8am - 6pm every day, depending on the number of customers, it can sell out early. "The restaurant is as beautiful as the rustic old house of the grandparents in the past, the taste of the cake is delicious. If I return to Hue, I will stop by the restaurant, Ms. Nhat Mai shared.
