The Election Committee of 168 wards, communes, and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City has issued a resolution confirming the election results and announcing the list of people elected as representatives of the People's Council (HĐND) in the locality, term 2026-2031, including 113 monks and nuns.
Previously, on election day March 15, Ho Chi Minh City had more than 9.4 million voters going to the polls, reaching a rate of 99%; of which 38 communes and wards had a voter turnout rate of 100%.
On March 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Election Commission announced 125 people elected as delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, out of a total of 208 candidates. Venerable Thich Thien Quy, Deputy Head cum Chief Secretary of the Executive Board of the VBS of Ho Chi Minh City, delegate of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, re-elected as delegate of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2026-2031.
