On November 13, Nghe An Border Guard successfully rescued three fishermen on a sunken fishing boat while fishing offshore, about 15km from the coast.
On the same morning, the Nghe An Border Guard's combat mission received information from Dien Thanh Border Guard Station about the NA-0205-TS fishing boat captained by Dau Tran Binh (born in 1978, residing in Dien Chau commune), with two crew members on board, sinking at around 4am. The ship was in distress at coordinates 18°58'50"N - 105°46'50"E, about 8 nautical miles from shore. The initial cause was determined to be a punctured ship bottom.
Immediately after receiving the news, Nghe An Border Guard notified vehicles operating near the area to coordinate support, and at the same time directed Dien Thanh Border Guard Station to urgently deploy forces to approach the scene.
Dien Thanh Border Guard Station mobilized officers, soldiers and rescue vehicles directly commanded by the Deputy Head of the Station, quickly moving to the location of the sunken ship.
At around 8:30 a.m., the rescue team reached the incident area, brought all three fishermen safely to the canoe and provided initial health care before bringing them to shore. Currently, the health of the fishermen has stabilized.
Dien Thanh Border Guard Station is continuing to verify and clarify the cause of the incident.
