From May 12 to 17, the Military Command of Kim Ngan commune, the Military Command of Quang Tri province organized a peak campaign to help families in difficult circumstances harvest the 2026 Spring rice crop.
The activity aims to promote the pioneering and voluntary spirit of the local armed forces, and at the same time strengthen the military-civilian solidarity in the area.
Implementing the mass mobilization work plan, the Military Command of Kim Ngan commune proactively coordinated with the Commune Youth Union, Commune Police, Lang Ho Border Guard Station and village and hamlet heads to review and compile a list of lonely households, elderly people, policy families and households lacking manpower during the harvest season.
With the motto "green at home is better than old in the field", the militia forces take advantage of holidays and breaks to support people in harvesting rice, transporting and preserving agricultural products. This helps people harvest in time, limiting damage due to unfavorable weather.
The campaign mobilized all officers of the Commune Military Command, mobile militia forces and local militia to participate. The working groups were divided into many small groups, undertaking specific tasks such as directly harvesting rice, transporting rice to homes, supporting drying and preserving for people.
In particular, the activities "Volunteer Saturday", "Sunday for the People" took place enthusiastically in the fields, creating a competitive atmosphere among the armed forces and local youth.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Lam - Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Kim Ngan commune, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command - said that through this practical activity, the unit wishes to contribute to training bravery, sense of responsibility and spirit of serving the People for the militia force.
At the same time, the activity also spreads the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc and effectively implementing social security work in the area.
The practical and meaningful actions of officers and soldiers of the Kim Ngan Commune Military Command and coordinating forces not only help people reduce difficulties during the harvest season, but also contribute to embellishing the image of military-civilian solidarity, building an increasingly solid "people's heart battlefield".
