On the evening of August 6, Dac Pring Border Guard Station (Da Nang City Border Guard Command) said that the unit had just coordinated with militia and people to urgently rescue a person who was bitten by a snake in a deep forest in the border commune of Dac Pring.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Van Kien - Head of Dac Pring Border Guard Station, at around 10:00 a.m. the same day, the unit received a report that Mr. Nguyen Van Hop (57 years old, residing in village 47, Dac Pring commune) was bitten by a red-tailed snake while grabbing fresh grains in the Suong Mu hill area - a place with rugged mountainous terrain, far from the residential area.
Immediately, a working group consisting of border guards, militia and local people were mobilized, carrying medicine, medical supplies, and forest fees to the victim's location. However, due to the forest road being dense, steep and slippery, the rescue team had to spend many hours traveling to reach Mr. Hop.
After conducting first aid on the spot, soldiers and militia took turns carrying the victim through the forest to get him out. At around 3:30 p.m. the same day, the rescue team took Mr. Hop to the concrete road, then continued to travel by vehicle to the Bac Quang Nam Regional General Hospital for emergency care.

According to the initial assessment, Mr. Hop was bitten by a toxic snake in his foot, showing signs of swelling and fatigue due to loss of strength and poisoning. Thanks to timely access and first aid, the victim's health has improved, and is currently being actively monitored and treated by doctors.
Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Van Kien said that this is the season when people go to the forest to pick fresh nuts - a precious medicinal herb, so the risk of accidents caused by wild animals and toxic snake is very high. The unit continues to strengthen propaganda and recommend that people equip themselves with skills and protective equipment when entering the forest, while keeping in touch with local authorities and functional forces to promptly handle when an emergency situation occurs.
