Ministry of National Defense inspects combat readiness in Hue

HUE - The Ministry of National Defense inspects combat readiness in Hue City before major holidays, requesting not to be passive or surprised.

On April 16, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense led by Major General Le Van Dang - Deputy Director of the Operations Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army inspected combat readiness at the Military Command (CHQS) of Hue City.

The inspection content focuses on combat readiness duty on the occasion of Hung Kings' Death Anniversary, the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1).

The working delegation listened to the report on the results of task deployment, and at the same time inspected the system of plans, documents and combat readiness alert at Tank and Armored Battalion 3.

Through inspection, the delegation assessed that Hue City's armed forces maintained a strict duty regime, proactively coordinated to firmly grasp the situation in the area, especially in the air, sea, and border areas; promptly advised on effectively handling situations, not to be passive or surprised.

Concluding the inspection session, the delegation requested the armed forces of Hue City to continue to strictly maintain the combat readiness regime, proactively grasp the situation, and closely coordinate with the forces to promptly handle problems arising from the grassroots level.

At the same time, be ready with forces and vehicles to participate in handling situations; strictly implement regulations on managing unmanned aerial vehicles; firmly protect the airspace and sea area and maintain security in border areas.

Agencies and units are also required to organize healthy cultural and entertainment activities for soldiers during the holidays; ensure safety, thrift, improve soldiers' lives, prevent violations of discipline, fires and explosions, and traffic accidents.
