Major General Nguyen Van Han - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police - chaired the ceremony.
At the ceremony, leaders of the Political Work Department announced the content of commendation for 45 collectives and individuals with outstanding outstanding achievements; commendation decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Provincial Police for 35 collectives and individuals. In which, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 10 individuals; the Director of the Provincial Police awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 22 individuals.
The collectives and individuals commended are units, officers, and soldiers who have shown a high sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and decisiveness in the work of fighting and preventing crime, protecting national security, and maintaining social order and safety. Prominent are the achievements in fighting and cracking down on special cases related to subjects participating in the exile reactionary organization "Provisional National Government of Vietnam" operating in the province; successfully fighting a special case of a group of subjects appropriating property by illegally using credit card information of others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Han praised the spirit of effort and high determination of professional units and grassroots police forces in performing tasks. The comrade emphasized that the achieved results clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of the "Three Firsts" emulation movement, contributing to maintaining political security stability and social order and safety in the province.
The commendation ceremony is not only an occasion to honor typical collectives and individuals but also creates strong motivation for the Provincial Police force to continue to strive and excellently complete the assigned tasks. Through this, the "Three Firsts" emulation movement continues to spread widely, contributing to building the An Giang Police force to be clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
